👋 Hi, I'm Víctor Velarde. Software Engineer - AI applied to Product
I'm interested in building software that solves real problems, applying artificial intelligence where it adds value to the product and the user. I come from a background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and full-stack development and more recently I've focused on applied AI, frontend architecture and product thinking. On a personal level, I seek to spend time with my family, read, and practice sports whenever I can.

I currently live in Santander (Spain) and work remotely as a Senior Software Engineer at MOGU, where I'm building a SaaS platform for the travel industry from the ground up.
My day-to-day combines TypeScript, React, and cloud architecture with applied AI exploration (MCP, agents, LLMs). Previously, I worked at CARTO and Tinybird as Tech Lead and Engineering Manager, leading teams on internationally-focused data products.
